Description
Commercial Law describes the law of secured transactions and payments systems. It treats in detail provisions of Articles 2A, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and 12 of the Uniform Commercial Code and relevant federal law. The Eleventh Edition considers developments in secured transactions and payment systems law since the previous edition. It analyses and applies the 2022 Amendments to the UCC, including Article 12’s coverage of transactions involving digital assets. To take account of the continuing trend in noncash payments away from checks, the Edition reorganizes material on the law governing electronic payment systems and adds material on virtual currency. The book also adds new cases. While including new notes, problems, and text, the Eleventh Edition retains the mix of problems and cases of the previous editions.
