The Foundational Skills modules (Law School Success, Introduction to Critical Reading, Introduction to Legal Analysis) provide incoming and first-year students with an understanding of the workings of law school, key critical reading strategies, and basic methods of legal analysis (rule-based reasoning, analogical reasoning, and CREAC). Students can use the modules independently or in connection with pre-orientation, orientation, and academic success classes.
The Well-Being modules (Mindfulness to Optimize Learning and Well-Being, Physical Activity to Optimize Learning and Well-Being, Introduction to Mindset for Law School Success) are designed for all students. The modules examine ways to enhance stress resilience, improve emotional regulation, and optimize brain functioning. They provide actionable strategies and practical coping skills, so students can successfully meet the challenges of law school and their professional careers.
