Faculty FAQs

  1. What functionality is available on allows faculty to access catalogs and teaching materials from Foundation Press, West and Gilbert, request complimentary review copies and download teaching tools such as Teacher's Manuals and update memos.

    Your Web Profile in My Account lists the school at which you teach, subjects you teach, and your marketing preferences. If your teaching status or preferences change, please update your profile to ensure that you receive information and product updates that meet your needs.

  2. Can I search for, review and download teaching materials available in my course area?

    The product details page for each product will list supplementary teaching materials available for that product. For instance, casebooks may have a teacher's manual, update memo, TWEN author forum or other resources that can be viewed and downloaded directly from the casebook product details page.

  3. Why should I register with

    Faculty members must register on prior to requesting complimentary copies of products and prior to viewing teaching tools such as teacher's manuals and update memos. Registration is also required to help ensure that you receive product updates most relevant to the subjects you teach.

  4. What is your Complimentary Copy policy?

    Complimentary review copies of texts are available to professors who wish to consider adopting them or recommending them to their classes, if they have not received previous copies.

    This policy includes study aids such as Hornbooks, Concise Hornbooks, Nutshells, Concepts and Insights, Foundations of Law, Turning Point Series and University Textbooks which may be recommended by the professor for collateral reading.

    We ask that you provide us with the name and semester of your assigned courses and your office contact information when requesting examination copies of our publications.

    This policy performs the dual purpose of providing you with review copies of publications suitable for adoption or recommendation to students while at the same time attempting to keep the student price of our books as low as possible.

    Complimentary print copies are shipped via ground transportation and should arrive 5-7 days after you place your order. Complimentary digital review copies for many titles are available immediately on Law School Exchange.

  6. Can I have products shipped to a foreign country?

    If you need something shipped outside of the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands, please contact us.

  7. How do I change my preferences such as my school information, current subjects and marketing preferences?

    To update your preferences, go to My Account and click "Web Profile". Review and update your profile, and then click "Submit" to save your changes.

  8. How can I learn about new or updated publications that are applicable to the courses I teach?

    When you register on, you can opt to receive product updates via email, mail and/or complimentary copies for each subject you teach. We will use these marketing preferences to notify you as new or updated publications are released. also includes "alerts" to provide you with important information about each product. For instance, if the product is newly released within the last 6 months, the product detail page will include an alert of "New." If the product has been replaced with a newer version, the product detail page will include an alert of "Click for newer edition." To view information about the new version, click the Alert link to go to the product details page.

  9. What are Companion Products?

    Companion Products are specifically designed to accompany a product and provide an enhancement to course study. Companion Products include teacher's manuals plus casebook, statutory and document supplements.

  10. What are Related Products?

    Related Products are associated products with the same or similar subject matter. These include study aids and supplementary products to help students achieve law school success. Whether you require them for your entire class or simply recommend them to your students, these best selling products will clarify difficult concepts, promote vigorous classroom discussion and enhance exam-writing skills.
